HCES February Makerspace - County Fair

The February Makerspace theme was County Fair. Students were designing, creating and building attractions that you might see at a community fair back home in the United States, such as thrill rides, games, exhibitions, and animals. Seven different station choices featured unique, hands-on task cards related to the theme. These stations included engineering thrill rides with Strawbees, building origami animals, designing and testing bumper cars using Sphero robots, building a Lego carnival scene, constructing magnet maze games, creating cardboard creatures, and designing county fair signs. Students are always thrilled to visit Makerspace and engage with the hands-on learning activities, and are already talking about what the next theme will be!
